Agri Kit Q&A - Ionized Water
Electrons released from Agri Kit
Since the Agri Kit is operated under the principle of electrolysis, so electrons are released from negatively charged copper tube (cathode),
plus small amount of hydrogen.
Ionized particles
Scientifically speaking, water molecule (H2O) can not be ionized, that's why pure water is hard to perform electrolysis.
The more logical explanation is those extra electrons attached to particles other than water molecule (H2O).
For example:
carbon dioxide (CO2) becomes carbonate (CO3-);
oxygen (O2) becomes ozone (O3-),
or just simply hydroxyl anion (OH-), etc.
In general, irrigating water has plenty of particles that can be charged into higher oxidation status, these charged particles are the "ionized particles".
Copper ions
Water-soluable copper ion is also introduced in electrolysis. It balances the water pH to near neutral.
Copper ion, at low concentration is bacteriostatic substance, fungicide, and wood preservative.
In sufficient high amount, they are poisonous to higher organisms; at lower concentration it is an essential trace nutrient to all higher plant and animal life.
The main areas where copper is found in animals are tissues, liver, muscle and bone.
In our terminology, ionized water includes negatively charge ionized particles and positively charge copper ions.
